Technique : This one took some time to set up. I knew I wanted to use a wide angle lens for the diminishing size effect and I needed to get in close for the semi-shallow depth of field. My initial vision was a stright and then I decided on the curve. Creating the curve in the subject and getting the camera placement right with a tripod and the 95% coverage of the view finder took several trys. If you think about it while you are working, you can learn a lot about how different positions affect the outcome.
Self Critique : There are three key points of placement here: the front cracker, where it breaks the frame to the right and at the top. Ideally they should be on the 1/3 lines or golden rule lines, but I'm not convinced they are quite there. Also not convinced that balance has been achieved. Thoughts?
