I wanted to do something with the flash off to the side for dramatic effect. It also picks up the texture in the carpet. This shot also demonstrates a frustrating problem that I am having with the D70: it tends to focus behind the subject for close-in shots. Notice how the carpet behind the dog is sharper than the dog. This shot was autofocussed on the dog's ear. |
